A Wonderous Day

It's a bright, sunny day
You can smell the grass and the hay
And feel the cool ripples of water blue
Watch, watch the flowers of brilliant hue
And sun dancing 'cross the heavens
And sunlight counting sevens
i walk through the orchard in bloom
Way better than being confined in a classroom
Sniff the orange blossoms and apples too
And rose petals, across the path strewn
Ground swept clean
By the wind and all things green
The dimpling river shines and flows
The bright yellow sun smiles and glows
Deer, fleet of foot, dash through the grassy slope
Cattle graze, not fastened by a rope
A big bear lumbers across the path
A drizzle starts, it's gonna rain
All the creatures rush home, and so do I
Waving to all a quick good-bye
