Path to Knowledge

Knowledge is a mountain on which accidents are prone
Yet  knowledge is a mountain you must climb alone
Teachers and parents are rest houses along the slope
Supplying to us happiness and hope

We are helped by so many people along the way
Even if they give us nought but a ray
If we ever reach the top
We should take a second to stop

And think of all the people who helped us
Parents, teachers even a random guy on a random bus
The cool drink of knowledge is better than
The cake of success which is straight from the pan

Now tell me, in a sweltering desert
Would you rather have cool water or some dessert
