If I were not a Human

If I had wings, I'd  unfurl them and fly
Soaring through the great blue sky
If I had fins I'd stretch them and swim
Going along with every whim
But my own two legs are fine for now
On land, not up high nor down low
If I was a bird, I would doze
On a tree and under a rose
If I was a fish, I would sleep
Inside a stretch of coral deep
But now I am fine on my bed
A blanket covering and pillow under my head
If I could fly, I would fly into space
And through the cosmos race
If I could dive, I would swim down and see
Down into the deep blue sea
But now I'm fine on grassy land
With dirt, water, wind and sand
So I am content with what god has sent
For I  may wish to be bird or fish
But It shall never happen I know
So I'll take it and not expect to wow....
