Animals Rule

If animals could but speak
From elephants to ants in teak
The world would be a merrier place
And a smile always on our face
Alas 'tis all our fault that we have used up
All our water near every cup
If animals could do things themselves then
Perhaps they wouldn't be slaves, from horse to hen
Maybe the earth would be pure and whole
And all would have a guilt free soul
Not a single species would be extinct
All would be unique and distinct
Oh, we feel we are better than them
But truth is we are dirt and they a gem
We should be has beens
And get a taste of our own medicines
For we cannot be so cruel and heartless

And of earth make such a mess
